Updated: Jul 15, 2020

Pasta is a no-brainer. It can be simple or it can bee complex. In this case, we have a simple pasta dish that we have made complex just by adding a few drops of white truffle oil. And yes, the truffle oil is optional.

TOMATO & BASIL PASTA WITH WHITE TRUFFLE OIL

PREP: 5 min. COOK: about 10 min. TOTAL: 15 min.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 serving spaghetti pasta

  • 6 cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 3 leaves basil, torn

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1 tsp. butter

  • 3-4 drops white truffle oil (optional)

  • salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Boil spaghetti noodles in a pot of boiling water with a generous amount of salt (your pasta water should be as salty as the ocean- ALWAYS) for the time directed on the package. Once cooked, drain and reserve.

  • In a saucepan heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until edges begin to turn golden.

  • Add in cherry tomatoes and cook until heated through.

  • Add in reserved pasta and basil. Mix well to combine and until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Plate and garnish with 3-4 drops of white truffle oil (optional).
