Pasta is a no-brainer. It can be simple or it can bee complex. In this case, we have a simple pasta dish that we have made complex just by adding a few drops of white truffle oil. And yes, the truffle oil is optional.
TOMATO & BASIL PASTA WITH WHITE TRUFFLE OIL
PREP: 5 min. COOK: about 10 min. TOTAL: 15 min.
INGREDIENTS:
1 serving spaghetti pasta
6 cherry tomatoes, halved
3 leaves basil, torn
1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
1/2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tsp. butter
3-4 drops white truffle oil (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Boil spaghetti noodles in a pot of boiling water with a generous amount of salt (your pasta water should be as salty as the ocean- ALWAYS) for the time directed on the package. Once cooked, drain and reserve.
In a saucepan heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until edges begin to turn golden.
Add in cherry tomatoes and cook until heated through.
Add in reserved pasta and basil. Mix well to combine and until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
Plate and garnish with 3-4 drops of white truffle oil (optional).
