One of my all-time favorite side dishes that my mom makes. If you haven't had the pleasure of trying hers, you can make your own!

GREEN BEANS ALMONDINE
PREP: 10 min. COOK: 5 min. TOTAL: 15 min.
INGREDIENTS:
1 bag green beans
4 strips of bacon
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/2 tsp. garlic
1/3 cup grated parmesan
salt & pepper to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Steam green beans for 8 minutes.
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crispy and set aside (leave bacon grease in pan). Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Then, add in the almonds and cook until golden brown.
Add green beans to the skillet and toss with salt and pepper (keep heat on low here as we are only warming the beans, we do not want them to lose their bite).
Chopped reserved bacon into bits and incorporate.
Toss beans until all elements are combined. Generously top with grated parmesan.
