America's favorite Italian dish- chicken fettuccini Alfredo. This dish is super easy to make and absolutely delicious.
EASY CHICKEN FETTUCCINI ALFREDO
INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ lb chicken breast
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
16 oz fettuccini pasta, cooked
¼ cup fresh parsley
¼ cup freshly shredded parmesan cheese
sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
½ cup shredded parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a pan over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Place in pan and cook 8-10 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked. Remove from heat and set chicken aside.
In the same pan over medium heat, melt butter and add the garlic. Cook until the garlic softens.
Add half of the flour to the garlic and butter, whisking until incorporated. Then add the rest of the flour and whisk.
Pour in the milk a little bit at a time, whisking well in between, until fully incorporated and sauce begins to thicken.
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, and mix well to incorporate.
Add parmesan cheese and mix until melted.
Pour the sauce over cooked fettuccini pasta and mix until fully incorporated.
Slice the chicken and place it on top of the pasta.
Add parsley and extra parmesan. Mix well and enjoy!
