A simple, yet delicious crispy ground beef taco- the perfect compliment to any Taco Tuesday!
CRISPY GROUND BEEF TACOS
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. ground beef (I use 80/20)
1 onion, minced
1 & 1/2 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. cumin
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. paprika
1 & 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
crispy taco shells
iceberg lettuce, shredded
sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (about 1 cup)
pico de gallo
INSTRUCTIONS:
Preheat oven according to the instructions on the crispy taco package.
In a bowl, mix together the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, paprika, and kosher salt. Mix to incorporate.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced onion to the skillet and cook until translucent.
Next, add in the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
In the meantime, heat the taco shells according to the instructions.
Add the taco seasoning to the beef and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
Fill the crispy tacos with the ground beef mixture, top with lettuce, cheese, and pico de gallo.
Serve and enjoy!
