My inspiration for this dish came about after trying the Grilled Chicken Wonton Tacos at Applebee's. I loved the idea of a wonton taco and decided to give it a go!
CHICKEN WONTON TACOS
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 lb. chicken
2 tbsp stir-fry sauce, any brand
4 tbsp Asian sesame vinaigrette dressing
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
wonton wrappers
2 tbsp green onion tops, chopped
1 cup shredded cabbage
4 tbsp coleslaw dressing
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a bowl, combine stir-fry sauce, Asian sesame vinaigrette dressing, soy sauce, and teriyaki sauce. Mix to combine.
Dice the chicken breast into bite-size pieces and add to the bowl of marinade.
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Brush the wonton wrappers with olive oil, drape them over the side of a baking dish, bake until golden brown. (You can also fry them for a lighter texture)
Mix cabbage with coleslaw dressing. Set aside.
In a pan over medium high heat, pour in the marinated chicken and cook until cooked through.
Fill each wonton with chicken, top with slaw, and chopped green onions.
Love that idea! Let me know how it turns out! :)
I really want to try this. Not a huge fan of chicken so I might throw some ling or king in it!
A must try. Thanks 😊
