  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper

  • 1 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. pepper

  • Peanut or alternative oil, for frying

for the sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1 tbsp. sriracha

  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne

  • 1/4 tsp. salt

  • juice from 1/2 a lemon, squeezed

INSTRUCTIONS:

for the veggies:

  • Fill a frying pan with about a half inch of oil and heat to 375ºF.

  • In a large mixing bowl, add in the beer followed by the flour, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until fully incorporated and free of clumps.

  • Prep the veggies by trimming the ends if needed and washing.

  • Coat the veggies in the batter and allow excess batter to drip off.

  • Place in the oil and fry until golden brown. Remove from oil and allow to drain on a plate lined with paper towels.

for the sauce:

  • In a bowl mix together the mayo, ketchup, sriracha, cayenne, salt, and lemon juice.
